Obituary of Terry Freeman

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Terry Freeman, beloved husband of Joanne and father to his wonderful children Nicholas, Kaitlin, Scott and Kelly. Terry was a proud member of the Canadian Armed Forces, serving with the Military Police from 1985 – 2006 and as a current member of the Canadian Rangers based in Grande Prairie. Terry served tours of duty in the United Arab Emirates, Kosovo, twice in Afghanistan and embassy tours in Colombia and Tokyo. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing, never more so than with his family. He was a curler throughout his life. Terry is survived by his adored wife, Joanne (Kennedy) who he married on August 10, 1991 and their children Nicholas, Kaitlin, Scott and Kelly; his parents Valerie and Raymond; brother Dean (Randi) and his children Kendalle, Madison, Payton and Carson; sister Leanne (Colin) Goldthorpe and their children Kyle and Amanda; parents-in-law Bob and Wendy Kennedy; sister-in-law Julie Kennedy (Peter) and her children Nasieda and Kahlil and sister-in-law Jennifer Kennedy-Jarman (Keith) and their children Georgia and Madeleine. Terry was predeceased by his much loved grandparents Louis and Edna Borkofsky of Inglis, MB. A Celebration of Life for Terry will be held on Wednesday, March 9th at 2pm at the Royal Canadian Legion, 9912 101 Street, Grande Prairie. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to an Education Fund for Kelly.
