Obituary of Adel Ghazouly

Adel Ghazouly died in his sleep at the Grande Prairie Hospice on August 11, 2013 after losing the fight to cancer at the age of 57 years. Adel is survived by his mother Soraya Ghazouly and his brothers, Asser (Tami) and Amir (Marlene) Ghazouly of Montreal, Quebec, along with their children David, Evan (Katherine) Tara, Aron, Alyssa and Michael. Adel was pre-deceased by His Father Alfred and younger brother Atef. Adel Ghazouly was born in Cairo, Egypt on March 29 1956. He and his brothers accompanied their parents to Canada in 1965 from Egypt via Germany. After living in Toronto and then Edmonton, the family moved to Grande Prairie in 1971 where Alfred Ghazouly worked as a purchasing agent in the construction of the Proctor and Gamble pulp mill. Adel held various sales positions including one which took him all over parts of the western world and Europe in the duty free business. He will be fondly remembered by family and friends. The family wishes to thank the Grande Prairie Cancer Clinic, QE II hospital staff and Points West Living Hospice for their outstanding humanitarian care and compassion. A small family service was held in memory of Adel on Monday Aug 19th. Donations can be made to the Grande Prairie Cancer clinic in lieu of flowers.
