Obituary of Toshiko Wilder
October 20, 1925 – April 2, 2016
Toshiko (Tammie) Wilder passed away peacefully April 2, 2016 at Points West Living. Tammie was born on October 20, 1925 in Ishinomaki, Miyagi Prefecture, Japan. She is lovingly remembered as a devoted mother and grandmother. Her grandchildren were her life. She was an avid “hockey grandmother” to her 3 grandsons and loved to bake all of their favorite treats. When her great-grandchildren came along, for her life was complete.
She will be sadly missed by her daughter Glenda (Brian) Farnden; her 3 grandsons and 5 great-grandchildren: Clint (Dara) LaLonde, Amery, Bailey, & Emi, Stephen LaLonde (Kaitlin Brownless), Chelsea, Nicholas LaLonde, Teagan and Glenda’s father, Charles Brown; her extended family: Allan LaLonde, Carolyn LaLonde (Doug Lowe), Michelle Walton, Courtney, Emma, additional extended family and dear friends. She was predeceased by her parents Hikoshiro and Kotoji Sato, sister Kuniko Tanaka and husband Del Wilder.
A celebration of life will be held Friday, April 8, 2016 at 2 p.m. Mission Heights Church 8321 Mission Heights Drive, Grande Prairie.
