She was born Katherine Friesen on August 4, 1922 in Langham, Saskatchewan to her parents Jacob and Agnes Friesen. On November 16, 1939, she married Leonard Jantz of Crooked Creek and she will be lovingly remembered by their 10 children: Harley (Judi) Jantz, Carol (Ed) Parks, Shirley (Austin) Kennedy, Alvin (Barb) Jantz, Donna (Ken) Rector, Judy (Art) Thiessen, Laura (Pete Gerwatoski) Jantz, Gary Jantz, Charlotte (Mike) Kiyawasew, and Doreen (Duncan) Campbell. She will also be remembered by her 26 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and her 4 great, great grandchildren, as well as many nephews, nieces and friends. Katherine was predeceased by her parents, Jacob and Agnes Friesen; her husband, Leonard Jantz; son Alvin; infant daughter Elizabeth; son-in-law Edwin Parks; granddaughter Melanie Parks; great granddaughter Eva Jantz and all of her siblings. Viewing and burial will take place at the Rosedale Cemetery, Crooked Creek on Thursday, June 9th at 12 pm with Funeral service to follow at the Gospel Light Church, Debolt on Thursday, June 9th at 2pm.
