Marilyn peacefully passed away in her sleep at 70 years of age, on Thursday, July 23, 2016 at the Queen Elizabeth the Second Hospital in Grande Prairie Marilyn was raised in a farm south of Bengough, Saskatchewan and she loved being outdoors, helping her father with many jobs. She graduated with her Grade XII from Bengough High School and she attended one year of General Hospital Nursing School in Calgary in 1963. Marilyn is survived by her sons, David Simpson, Burnaby BC and Nicholas Giroux, Saskatchewan. She is also survived by her sister, Carole Wilk, her brother-in-law William, brother Murray Hanson and her cousin Linda Olsen and her family. Marilyn was predeceased by her husband, Paul who passed away from cancer. Marilyn will be laid to rest at a later date in Bengough, Saskatchewan.
