It is with great sadness that we mournfully announce that Derek was taken from us so early in his life. Derek was a bricklayer and loved to work with his Dad. He was so talented and loved to draw and do tattoos. Derek had a heart of gold and was always ready to help anyone who needed him. His brother Doug described him as his plucky little brother. Courageous and spirited and that he was always there for his sister Amanda to protect and support her in any way she needed. Derek will be remembered and forever in our hearts by his son Kirk (Pearson), daughter Lexus (Pigeon), mother Marlene (Pigeon), stepfather Mike (Belair), brother Doug (Pigeon), sister Amanda (Pigeon), nephews Shawn, Brayden, Matthew (Pigeon), Evan, Marcus (Driedger) and many friends and family. He was pre-deceased by his father Doug Pigeon, his Grandparents and his good friend and cousin Vincent Flohr. There will be a Celebration of his Life and gathering of his friends and family on July 30th, 2016 at 2pm at 9910 88 Avenue Grande Prairie, Alberta.
