Ian Thomas Mair lost his battle with cancer and passed peacefully from this world at Points West Hospice on September 6, 2013. Born on Grande Prairie on August 15, 1959, Ian graduated from the Fine Arts Program at Grande Prairie Regional College and continued in Design at Grant MacEwan College. He spent many years working in the oil patch in the Peace Country. Ian was predeceased by his mother, Bertha Hodges, and his father, James Mair, and is survived by his sisters Sylvia and Irene as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He will be lovingly remembered by his family at Salvation Army and Rotary House, and a large circle of caring friends. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September 27 at 4:00 PM at Forbes Presbyterian Church, 9635 76 Avenue, Grande Prairie.
