René Henri Lejeune (aged 71) passed away peacefully at the QEII Hospital in Grande Prairie with his wife and children at his side, on September 7th, 2016. In recent years, he fought a courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease. René was born January 20th, 1945 in McLennan, AB to parents Henri and Rose-Anne (Audet) Lejeune of Girouxville, AB. He later built his long and established career as a technician at Weyerhauser pulp mill in Grande Prairie. René will be sadly missed by his wife of 47 years – Sharon (Aaserud) Lejeune. In 1970 they mourned the loss of their first-born twins Mark and Stephen. In 1971 they welcomed the birth of twins Léo and Lisa. Left to mourn are: son Léo (Sylvia), their children Christian, Vanya, Remy, Niko of Calgary; daughter Lisa (Kevin Timanson), their children Ariel, Jay, Alexander of Grande Prairie.
