June 11, 1937 – Sept 17, 2016 Vicky Rathwell passed away on September 17, 2016 in Indian Head, Saskatchewan at the age of 79. When Vicky left the farm north of Grande Prairie, she attended school in Red Deer for a career in the banking industry. Finally settling in Edmonton in 1970, she worked for many years at CIBC and then finished her banking career with the TD Bank. She retired from banking in 1997. In 2006 she moved to Golden Prairie Indian Head, Saskatchewan to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren. Vicky will be fondly remembered by many for her sunny disposition, her fondness for camping, her love of the outdoors, blueberry picking on weekends, then later at the care home playing bingo and other activities with her grandsons. Vicky is survived by her daughter, Debbie Spencer, and her children Clayton and Dustin of Odessa, SK; her son David (Natasha) and their children Jarek, Skylar and Melanie of Canmore, AB; sister Anne Matkaluk of Calgary and 4 brothers, John Kosik of Nisku, Albert (Gladys) Kosik, Ed Kosik, and Ken (Fern) Kosik all from Grande Prairie. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. A graveside service for Victoria Rathwell will be held on Friday, September 30, 2016 at 1 pm at the Grande Prairie Cemetery.
