Obituary of Donald H MacAlister

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Donald (Mac) MacAlister on Saturday, October 1st, 2016 at his Pipestone Creek home at 65 years of age. Don enjoyed following the happenings of his many nieces and nephews who always brought a smile to his face. He worked 49 years at Canfor as a millwright and welder. During those years he made many lifelong friends. He made the most of his recent retirement connecting with friends over coffee and spending quality time with family. Don will be sadly missed by his four sisters Susan Peterson (Gary), Gail (Tom) Sterr, Bonnie (Ed) Pierce, Lisa (Ted) Watt; nieces and nephews Troy (Tracy) Peterson, Tanya (Richard) Teitge, Perley (Leah) Sterr, Brandon Sterr, Naida (Kevin) Hawkins, Melissa (Greg) Mayhew, Nathan Kaczmarek, Makayla, Carter, Liam Watt; and great nieces and nephews Bryanna and Chase Peterson, Jay, Rayanne, and Carly Teitge, Ellie and Pete Sterr, Brynn and Jake Hawkins, Jackson, Bodhi, and Piper Mayhew, Emma Kaczmarek; and many other family and friends. Donald was predeceased by his parents Don and Betty MacAlister. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 7th, at 2:00 pm, at Christ Community Church 10106-112 Avenue, Grande Prairie.
