Obituary of Shayne Bradly Carruthers
CARRUTHERS, Shayne Bradly (October 9, 1979 – September 19, 2014)
Shayne Carruthers passed away in Bezanson, Alberta, on September 19, 2014, at the age of 34 years.
Shayne was born in Edmonton on October 9, 1979 and grew up in Fort Vermillion, and several other communities throughout Alberta and BC. Shayne loves the best things in life and was always the first person to help out. He loves spending time with his family and friends, camping, hunting, cooking, having tea, playing cards, watching movies, playing games, or wrestling. He is the biggest kid at heart and loves making up new rules. He loves children, loves to travel, and is very proud of his tattoos. Shayne is just an awesome guy to have around.
Shayne will be missed by his grandparents Ethel Carruthers and Neil & Irean McCuaig; parents Wayne & Pat Carruthers and stepdad Rick Fantham; brothers and sisters, Barbara Carruthers (Shyann, Tristen, Morgan, Tamara, Tylee, Gabe & Baby Shayne), Wayne Carruthers (Taylor, Desree, Jayden, Ryder & Kree), Cheryl Carruthers & Chad Horseman (Damion & Tharren); step brothers and sisters, Rance McLean (Sara), Nicole (Marty, Cole), Kristy, Lynne, JR, Haily, Chad Fantham; daughter Kyra Leigh Carruthers; son Braiden Nelson; girlfriend Heather Wilcox, and numerous auntys, uncles, cousins, bro’s and friends.
Shayne was pre-deceased by his grandfather Bill Carruthers; cousin Joy McLean, uncle Jesse Ridsdale, niece Shea Horseman, love Shanaya Gouchey-Bassett, and bro Elmer “Mooney” Price.
Funeral services for Shayne will be held at Horse Lake Rec Hall, Horse Lake First Nations, Alberta. Wake: Thursday, September 25, 2014 and service Friday, September 26, 2014. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted for his daughter Kyra Leigh Carruthers at the Bank of Montreal.
