Obituary of Richard Zenner
It is with deep and heavy sadness that we announce the passing of Richard (Dick) Robert Zenner, who passed away on Tuesday March 11, 2014 in Points West Hospice after a lengthy battle of Heart Disease and Multiple Myeloma. Richard was born on July 2, 1937 in Spalding Saskatchewan.
Left to remember him always is his loving wife of 18 years Margret Skjei, 9 sons Richard Jr (Heidi), Kelvin (Cheryl), Kenneth (Jing), Edward (Paula), Ronald (Laurie-Ann), Daniel, Donald (Tamara), Nicholas (Kerry), Mel (Millissa), 3 daughters Victoria (Matt Sabourin), Karen (Barney Heffernan), Cindy (James MacGillivray), 31 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren, brothers, sisters, and many friends. Predeceased by his mother Rosalie, father Robert, Brother Robert Jr, and Granddaughter Jennifer.
Richard made a homestead in DeBolt, Alberta where he raised his 12 children. In the Zenner house it was the more the merrier. If someone needed a meal or a place to stay the door was always open. He was a jack of all trades; he farmed, logged, ran heavy equipment, ran and built a saw mill, scarified, was his own mechanic, you name it he had done it. He was a very strong, determined, dedicated man that would help anyone out. If something needed to be fixed he either fixed it or could tell you how to fix it. Richard had a lot of life experience which made him even stronger. Through all the ups and downs he kept his head high and carried on while passing on his knowledge. Richard was a go getter for life with a witty sense of humor that will never be forgotten.
