Joshua Norman

Obituary of Joshua Braydon Norman

Joshua left us suddenly on March 23, 2014 at the age of 23. Josh was an enthusiastic history buff who enjoyed cooking, music, playing xbox live with his cousin Carter and spending time with his Mom, Grama and Grandad. He was the entertainer for his younger brothers Nicholas and Michael who thought he was the greatest brother (and X-Box teacher)! His cat Ink was a great companion in earlier years. Josh was an accomplished design artist. He always had a computer within reach that he was either fixing or gaming on. We all knew what a gamer he was! In his younger years he excelled at bowling. Josh put his heart, soul and compassion into numerous friendships and leaves behind many that will hold his memory dear in their hearts. Those who had the privilege of having Josh as a friend knew they were blessed. He has left a tremendous void in many people’s lives. He will be greatly missed by his mother Carrie Norman (Mitch Bacon) and brothers Nicholas and Michael, his father Allan McQuaig and brothers Dalton and Austin and sister Kayleigh, special grandparents Al & Lois Norman, Uncle Darren and Aunt Janet Norman, cousins Tristen, Hannah and Carter Norman, special Great Auntie Mar and numerous relatives. He is also survived by his grandparents Robin and Shirley McQuaig and family from Teepee Creek. Josh was predeceased by his great grandma Temple, Great Aunt Leona, Great Aunt Marg, and Great Uncle Lyle. To celebrate the life of our loving son a service will be held Friday, March 28 at 2:00 pm at St. Paul’s United Church 10206 100 Avenue, Grande Prairie. Josh had a heart for people, so if you wish, in lieu of flowers you may give to the charity of your choice. Please hold your families close and dear. And start practicing random acts of kindness towards those we encounter every day and let’s make this a beautiful time and place to live on. Josh – You will always be my “sweetie”. Until I am with you again – I Love You – Mom. Care and arrangements entrusted to Bear Creek Funeral Home Grande Prairie 780-830-7442 www.bearcreekfuneral.com
