PARTLOW, SONIA LYNN – May 31, 1956 – Oct 6, 2013 Sonia passed away unexpectedly on October 6, 2013. Sonia was born & raised in Grande Prairie and had resided in Calgary since 1990. Left to cherish her memories are her sister Ruth (Bill) Giles, her much loved nieces Shannon (Eric) & Meghan (Brian), Aunt Evelyn Roessler, Uncle Ken & Aunt Margaret Head, Aunt Martha Head, and numerous cousins. Sonia also leaves behind her extended family at Rehoboth Christian Ministries in Calgary. We are truly grateful for the dedication of the Rehoboth staff and caregivers who welcomed Sonia into their lives and into their hearts. Sonia was predeceased by her parents Horace & Laura Partlow, her paternal grandparents Joseph & Alice Partlow and her maternal grandparents George & Isabella Head. Sonia touched the lives of many people and was blessed with a fantastic memory. She never forgot names or faces. Sonia loved children and animals, especially dogs, but her greatest joy was going for coffee & visiting with friends. Sonia also loved to help people. With that in mind, knowing that Sonia has provided the greatest gift, the gift of life, to 5 organ recipients & their families is very gratifying to her family. We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Sonia’s caregivers, the EMS attendants, ER & ICU staff at the Foothills Hospital for their efforts, care and compassion toward Sonia and her family. Also, a sincere thank you to the HOPE TEAM for their guidance & support through the organ donation process. A service and celebration of life for Sonia Partlow will be held at 2 PM, May 31, 2014 at Forbes Presbyterian Church. Following the service, family and friends are invited to remember Sonia over a cuppa coffee, and lunch.
