Obituary of Agnes A. Patershuk
Agnes Annie Patershuk (nee Turchinetz) passed away September 30, 2014 in Grande Prairie Alberta. Agnes was born in Usherville Saskatchewan October 25, 1925. She is survived by her daughters; Linda (Lorne) Russell, and Audrey (Walter) Sukkau, grandchildren; Amy (Jesse) Fehr, and Tyrel Langstroth, and great grandchildren; Levi, Ethan and Benjamin Fehr. She is predeceased by her husband Edward and daughter Cindy. Agnes married Edward in Canora, Saskatchewan in 1949. Agnes was 1 of 9 children, and her mother became one of Jehovah’s Witnesses before she was born. Agnes was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses along with her husband Ed on April 23, 1955. She was very happy to share her faith with others. She was a very spiritual person and read her bible daily, despite gradually losing her eyesight from glaucoma and macular degeneration until the last year she could barely see. Her faith in the resurrection hope was strong.
They moved to B.C where they lived for over 20 years and then onto Edmonton Alberta for over 30 years. In 2008 they moved to Grande Prairie Alberta. Agnes was a wonderful cook, and was famous for her bread and loved to entertain. She enjoyed gardening and sharing its produce. She was very sweet natured and was a people person. She was appreciative, generous, and very kind.
