February 23, 1939 – February 28, 2017 Peter (Pete) Hodgson passed away in Grande Prairie in Hospice, on February 28, 2017 at the age of 78 years, following a brief illness. Peter is survived by his wife Allene, daughter Joan Webber (Brent), son Robert (Bob) Hodgson (Kathy), daughter Maureen “Mo” Brown (Lance Wilson), grandkids Michael, Jacqueline (Tom), Brad Hodgson, Brittney (Steven) Hodgson, Nicole Boulet, Michelle (Dalen) Gliege, Ally (Brad) Shura and Cody Brown, step-grandkids Kyal (Nicole), David Webber (Kirsten), Toryn Wilson, great grandkids Payton Gliege, Brooklyn Gliege, Chance Hodgson, Maurlee Shura, and brother Tom Hodgson. He was predeceased by his parents Robert and Alberta Hodgson, sisters Margaret, Lillian and Elizabeth, and brothers Michael and Phillip. Funeral Service for Peter Hodgson will be held at 11am on Monday, March 6th, 2017 at Mission Heights Church of Christ, 8321 Mission Heights Drive with interment to follow at the Grande Prairie Cemetery. Everyone is invited to join the family for a luncheon at the Grande Prairie Legion following the interment. Memorial donations may be made in Peter's name to the Royal Canadian Legion #54, 9912 101 Avenue Grande Prairie, Alberta T8V 0X8. A Fallen Limb A limb has fallen from the family tree. I keep hearing a voice that says, “Grieve not for me.” Remember the best times, the laughter, the songs. The good life I lived while I was strong. Continue my heritage, I’m counting on you. Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through. My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest. Remembering all, how I truly was blessed. Continue tradition no matter how small.
