Donald Andrew Friedel February 16, 1933 – March 31, 2017 Donald Andrew Friedel, resident if Worsley, passed away on March 31, 2017 at the QE II hospital at the age of 84 years. Don was born in North Star, AB on February 16, 1933. Don married Bernice Lubeck on November 20, 1956 and moved to Worsley where they homesteaded and farmed for many years. Don’s passion was farming and loved his team of horses (Nigs and Dusty) which he entered into many farm wagon races, horse pulls and parades. After retiring from farming, Don spent many hours riding his lawn mower cutting grass to keep a very meticulous yard and acreage. His hobby was wood working and he created many beautiful wagons and planters that he would give to family and friends. Don is survived by his loving wife Bernice, children Donna (Jim Rowe), Doug (Jennifer Ponath), Darlene (Danny Shanks), grandchildren, and great grandchildren that all meant the world to him. He is also survived by a brother Lloyd, sisters Terry, Caroline, Doreen, Barbara, Betty, Bernice, Chrissy & many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by parents Andrew and Annie Friedel, Infant brother Joey, sister Leona, brother Johnny, brother in-laws Bud and Ken, and nephew Danny.
