Doreen Mae Firomski passed away peacefully November 27, 2014 at the age of 85. Doreen was born July 29, 1929 in Calgary where she lived for 81 years before moving to Grande Prairie in 2010 to be closer to her family. She loved the beautiful mountain views from Calgary and often related to the Three Sisters Mountains, as there were three sisters in her family. Some of her favorite things were the Calgary Flames, Calgary Stampeders, making cookies, playing bingo, her children and grandchildren. Doreen was predeceased by her parents Frank and Nellie Huish, her brother Harry Huish and her son Dennis Stevens. She is survived by two other children, Gordon Stevens of Grande Prairie and Deborah Shymanski of Blackfalds Alberta. Doreen also has 10 Grandchildren, Chris Dunn, Coree Ladwig and Kathryn Scully of Grande Prairie, Jeff Stevens of Calgary, Tammy Bayduza of Yorkton Saskatchewan, Lisa Renee Stevens of Blackfalds Alberta and Cheri Evashkevich of Fort McMurray Alberta, Jason Shymanksi of Calgary Alberta, Twyla Gill and Craig Shymanski of Red Deer Alberta. She was also the very proud great grandmother of 23 children. Doreen will be sadly missed.
