Obituary of Carol Mildred Pasay

October 01, 1938 - July 15, 2017

We are sad to announce that Carol has completed her journey and has left us for the great garden beyond. 

Carol was a strong, independent, lady with a sweet tooth and a tenacious spirit. She encouraged her children to stand up for themselves, and always had your back. Carol enjoyed the tranquility of nature, particularly birds, as well as spending time in her kitchen, baking or canning. She could always be found with a coffee in one hand, and working a jigsaw puzzle or wielding a tool with the other.

Left to mourn are her children Kim, Wendy (Jose), Sheri (Chris), Lonny, and Laura (Randy). Also her grandchildren, Christina, Ashley, Alura (Drew), Dillon, Hayden and Jordan, as well as her two great-granddaughters, Saphira and Trinity. Also left to mourn; her sister, Marj, her brothers Bruce and Tim, as well as a host of others, including nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Carol was predeceased by her parents, George and Dorothy, her brother Arthur, sister-in-law Diane, her niece Melanie, and nephew Blaine.

Carol’s family would like to acknowledge the hard work and devotion of the remarkable staff and residents of the Fairview Long Term Care Center.

A memorial for Carol will take place Saturday August 12th at Westlawn Funeral Home & Cemetery (16310 Stony Plain Road, Edmonton, AB) from 1pm - 4pm

Interment will take place in the morning at Gibbons Memorial Gardens for the immediate family and invited guests.
