Obituary of Rene St. Laurent

May 25, 1943 – December 2, 2017
Rene St. Laurent, long time resident of Falher, passed away in Grande Prairie with his family by his side on December 2, 2017, at the age of 74.  Rene, son of Arthur and Therese St. Laurent, was born in Dawson Creek, British Columbia on May 25, 1943.
Rene will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 52 years; Lorette, his daughter Karen Gariepy (Rene) of Grande Prairie, his son Wayne (Julie) of Jean Cote, grandchildren Sheldon Gariepy, Jason Gariepy, Kimberly Gariepy, Ethan St. Laurent and Kaitlyn St. Laurent, sisters Cecile Lanctot, Liliane St. Laurent CSC, Mariline (Bruce) Forbes, brothers Normand, Gerard (Michelle), Jean-Paul (Joan), Guy (Judy),  in-laws Gerry (Diana) Lanctot, Paul Lanctot, Roland (Donna) Lanctot, Suzanne (Dave) Guest and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rene was predeceased by his mother Therese, father Arthur, brother Jacques, sisters Marie and Aline Harrison, mother-in-law Alice Lanctot, father-in-law Eugene Lanctot, brother-in-law Edward Lanctot, niece Sherry Ann Forbes, nephew Brian Guest and sister-in-law Lizette St. Laurent.
A Funeral service will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church (10404 102 Street Grande Prairie, Alberta) on Friday, December 8th at 1pm.
