Obituary of Fletcher Allen Burlock
January 1, 1949 – December 11, 2017
On December 11, 2017 we lost our beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin, brother, brother-in-law, and friend.
He was born in Melfort, Saskatchewan to John and Zunnia Burlock. He was the eldest of 5 children; the first two children raised on the farm, then the family moved to Saskatoon where the other three children were born.
Fletcher met and married Pat, the love of his life in Saskatoon and they were blessed with a beautiful daughter and two handsome sons.
The family settled in Grande Prairie, Alberta and were blessed again with six grandchildren. They were his pride and joy. Fletcher was very proud of his children and grandchildren and would brag about their many accomplishments.
Our house was where the grandkids knew where the snack cupboard was and the animals knew where the treats were; most likely in his pocket.
He loved to talk and tell stories or jokes to anyone who would listen and he was passionate about spending family time whether it was fishing, camping, watching the Oilers hockey or Saskatchewan Roughriders football, cranking his music and sending FB messages to everyone, even if it was 2am.
He was loved and will be missed by his loving wife, Pat, children: Jacene (Bill) Kailee, Blake; Tim (Melany) Lauryn, Justin; Chad (Nicole) Jordyn, and Riley; his sister Edith (Brian), and brothers, (Clinton (Barb); Howard (Karen), Cameron (Mardi).
Fletcher was predeceased by his parents John and Zunnia Burlock; his in-laws Roland and Ellen Moar, and many relatives too numerous to mention.
A Celebration of Fletcher’s life will be held on June 16, 2018 at 7pm at Bear Creek Funeral Home/Richmond Reception Center 11802 – 99 Avenue Grande Prairie.
