It is with heavy hearts that the family of Ilene Mae Alde announces her passing on January 21, 2015 in Grande Prairie, Alberta at the age of 88 years. Shortly after Ilene was married to Hugh Alde (September 30, 1944), they moved to Rio Grande in the Beaverlodge area. Mom enjoyed home-making , gardening, baking and caring for farm animals. She also enjoyed accompanying Hugh’s country music band to local dances. Ilene will be greatly missed by her Daughters; Sharron Quinn and Lois Alde, Sons; Wayne (Colleen) and Bill Alde (Angie), Grandchildren; Tim Quinn, Wendy Stringer, Clint, Kreg, Terin and Melanie Alde, Jason Nykolaychuk and Tennille Deering, William Alde, Rae Lynn O’Conner and Jessica Crook, and 22 Great Grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her Husband Hugh, Mother Lillian Robinson, Father Glen McDiarmid, Sister and Brother-In-Law Beulah and Paddy Proctor, and Sister Ruth Schmidt. A Funeral Service for Ilene Alde will be held at the Beaverlodge United Church on Tuesday January 27th, 2015 at 2PM. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice in Ilene’s name.
