Obituary of Maureen Carol Siemens

August 31, 1967 – December 31, 2017

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Maureen, on December 31, 2017 in Grande Prairie, Alberta.

Maureen was born in Grande Prairie to Larry and Gwen Loewen.  She grew up in Debolt, Alberta and graduated from Ridgevalley school.  She married the love of her life and soul mate, Michael on April 12, 1986 and they had three beautiful children; Ashley, Natasha and Mikey.  Maureen was larger than life and loved by everyone who knew her.  Maureen always had the time to visit at length with anyone she knew or even a random stranger in checkout lines.  Maureen loved her family and to travel with Texas being especially close to her heart.

Maureen is survived by her adoring spouse Michael, her daughter Ashley (Mike), grandchildren Ian, Megan, and Evan, her daughter Natasha (Dorian) grandson Linden, her son Mikey and grandchildren Heidi and Hayden.

 She is also survived by her mother Gwen Loewen, sister Glenda Ford (Bill) and family, as well as brother Brad Loewen (Melanie) and family and a large and loving group of extended family and friends.

She was predeceased by her father Larry Loewen and later by Gwen’s common law husband, Gordon Klassen.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, January 6th at 2pm at the Debolt Centre, Debolt, Alberta.

Maureen’s family would like to thank the London Drugs team, emergency services and Jason and Erica who assisted how they could on December 31.
