Obituary of Alroy Alton Fredrickson

February 28, 1947 – January 17, 2018

Alroy Fredrickson, lifelong resident of Grande Prairie passed away on January 17, 2018 at the age of 70 years.  Alroy attended Vocational High School in Grande Prairie.  He was married to Bonnie Lee Agar; they had 4 children, and many grandchildren that he loved dearly.

Alroy worked in the Forestry Industry and was also a drywaller.  He played industrial league hockey in Grande Prairie, loved mixed slow pitch ball, and played fastball with the York Hotel.  He also loved playing crib and cards with his friends at Dieppe Manor.

He is survived by his children, Les Fredrickson (Jen), Doug Fredrickson (Carrie), Karen Stokke (Craig) and Kevin Fredrickson as well as his daughter-in-law, Michelle Fredrickson.  He is also survived by his grandchildren, Declan, Dane, Dakota, Hailey, Chasen, Hunter and Hannah; as well as his siblings, Pat Thompson, Gloria Gordica, Rod Fredrickson, and Kenny Fredrickson (Linda).

Alroy was predeceased by his wife, Bonnie; his sister, Bernice; and his parents, Marie and Freddy.

A Memorial Service for Alroy will be held at a later date.
