David Joe Reichert, 69, of RR2 Sexsmith, lost his battle with pancreatic cancer March 2nd, 2015 at Points West Living Hospice. Dave was born February 9th, 1946 to Pete and Marie(Quinlan) Reichert in Forsythe, Mt. He spent his youth in Montana, graduating from Laurel High School in 1964. He served in the U.S. Army in the U.S. and Korea. He was honorably discharged in 1968. Dave married Judy Sutton August 31st, 1969 in Northglenn, Colorado. He and his family lived in Montana and Wyoming and made a decision in, 1980, to move to Canada. He worked as a heavy equipment mechanic, welder, farmer and, most recently, he was employed by Silvertech Contracting. Dave’s love of animals included Hereford cattle, miniature horses, chickens, rabbits and many cats and dogs. Dave took pride in his trophy mounts and loved sharing his many hunting stories. Dave is survived by his wife of 45 years, Judy, his son Jeff (Careen) of Grande Prairie, twin daughters: Jodi (Brian) MacDougall, their children Jason, John, Jessica, Devon, and Jeni Reichert (Graham Bowen), their children Alex, Russell, Deandra, his mother, Marie Reichert, sister Joanne (Les), sister Kathy (Bernie) Kyhl, and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his father Pete Reichert.
