Aunty Betty was such an important part of my life. Whether it be the visits to the farm when I was young (she made the best fried chicken and creamed baby potatoes, carrots and peas), my visits to Parksville when I lived in Victoria (the stories I could tell), the many hours in Vernon when we just hung out and spent time together. Then of course there was the infamous Reno trip...
Aunty B was my godmother and while I have never been an overly religious person, it made our connection all the more special and important to me. She always told me I was special to her (she may have said to all of us but I know when she said it to me she meant it) and she was oh so special to me...
I am so happy she is at peace and I know she is hanging out with the rest of the gang and they are all laughing and talking about the old times.
I love you Aunty B, say hi to my dad...see you on the other side...
