Obituary of Fred E O’Shea
Fred Edward O’Shea was born on June 4, 1946 in Springbrook, Ontario, one of 14 children to Mary & William O’Shea. In 1968 he moved to Lacombe, Alberta, and then to Grande Prairie where he and his wife, Cherry, raised their 2 boys Michael and Travis.
Fred lived in Grande Prairie for over 45 years where he worked as a construction equipment operator, truck driver, and especially loved his time as a tour coach driver.
He was a very social man and enjoyed the time he spent with friends on their many adventures. He was always in the great outdoors enjoying quadding, hunting, fishing and roaring fires.
Fred and his beloved partner Jennifer moved to Enderby BC in November 2014 to be near his brother Marvin. His courageous battle with cancer ended on March 4, 2015.
Fred was predeceased by his mother Mary, father William, brothers David, Frank and Reg, and his eldest son Mike.
Fred leaves to mourn his passing his loving partner Jennifer; his son Travis (Carrie Ann), grandchildren Sierra and Caleb; his brothers Bill (Judy), Leo (Sharon), Terry (Kim) of Ontario, Marvin (Gigi) of BC, Keith of Alberta; sisters Helene (Gordon), Sharon (David), Kim (Al), Sherry (David) and Cathy (Rob) of Ontario, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life for Fred will be held on Friday, March 20th at 11AM at the Church of Christ at 8321 Mission Heights Drive in Grande Prairie.
