Ruth was faced with lots of challenges in her life. After losing Harry at a young age, she rose to the challenge of being a single parent and even found room in her home and her heart for foster children. She always provided a warm meal and welcome for anyone who dropped by. She loved gardening, sewing, quilting and crafting. She made mukluks, moccasins and quilts for all of her family. She loved to play cards and games and spent many afternoons at a kitchen table at Wild Rose Manor enjoying that time with family and friends. She was a very active member of the community wherever that was. Ruth was instrumental in the building of the skating rink at Ridgevalley, the new church in Bezanson, and was always an active member of the Catholic Women’s League. Even though faced with challenges in her life, she relied on her faith and it helped her right to the end. God bless her.
