Obituary of Surjit Kaur Safri

February 2, 1942 – September 30, 2018

It saddens us to announce the untimely death of our beloved mother, Surjit Kaur Safri who passed away in her sleep on Sunday night. As many of you know, she has been suffering from kidney failure for some time now, as well, she was suffering from bleeding from the brain.  We are relieved that her passing was peaceful and painless.  She will be missed by her sons; Peter and Sunny Safri and her son-in-law Baljinder Rupma and their families.

Surjit’s funeral will be held on Saturday, October 6 at 12pm at Bear Creek Funeral Home/Richmond Reception Center 11802 99 Avenue, Grande Prairie.  Following the service, a bhog and Antim Ardas will be held in our mother’s memory at Grande Prairie Safe Communities, 10318 92 Street Grande Prairie, at 2pm.
