I am so saddened to hear of Laurie’s passing. I always will have very fond memories of hanging out with Laurie during our junior high and high school days. We had a lot of fun and funny times together! She was a beautiful girl with her amazing blonde hair..but she was also a true and dedicated friend. I feel badly that we didn’t keep in touch once I moved away from GP. I have thought of her often throughout the years and of our good times together.
Sending you all, Rob and Shelly, Gail and Fred...lots and lots of love.

I just wanted to thank you for the wonderful celebration of Laurie’s life. It was a tribute to her, and so uplifting for everyone. . You reached out of your grief, and supplied us with a platform to share the unique and precious things about Laurie.
Thank you for that, and although my heart aches for you, I hope you received some healing through the sharing.
She impacted a lot of lives, for the better. I will always be grateful I got to know her. She was s bright thread in the tapestry of life.
Love and prayers, Rachel Nysted

Auntie Gayle, Uncle Fred
My memories of my cousin Laurie are always of a smiling, athletic and beautiful girl. Susann and I loved our big cousins especially when they all came to babysit. We were really little but I do remember Laurie sitting on the floor of our kitchen in Grande Prairie playing with us. That is how I will always think of her. I am sorry to not be able to attend her service. Please know she is in our minds and heart as are you both.
Love
Teri

Uncle Fred, Auntie Gayle and family, my heart is so very heavy.I have wonderful memories of Laurie as a young person. She was a few years older than me and, of course, I thought she was amazing. She was always very kind. I loved watching her ride her horses and just being around her at the barn. I remember Teri and I showing up at your house early one morning (we were on an adventure) and it was much too early for everyone else to be up so Laurie sat with us at the kitchen table and read stories to us. I remember waiting a the bus stop for school and how she got to ride at the back because she was a ‘big girl’. All of my memories of Laurie are of softness and love. Her beautiful soul is free and she can once again ride like the wind and love deeply without the pain. Laurie was not the disease, she was fun, loving, kind, talented, patient, adventurous and beautiful. That is the Laurie I will remember. My love to all of you.
