Obituary of William (Bill) Thomas Clarke

November 7, 1958 - December 2, 2018

William (Bill) Thomas Clarke passed away peacefully at the Points West Hospice in Grande Prairie, AB on December 2, 2018, at the age of 60. Bill battled cancer for 15 years but had a strong will to fight it and make the most of life.

Bill was born in Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan and moved to Saskatoon, SK where he attended the University of Saskatchewan. There he received a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Sociology. He there met his future wife Carol Mitchener and they married August 22, 1987. After residing in Saskatoon, SK for a while they lived in Davidson, SK then Fort St. John, BC before settling in Sexsmith, Alberta. In 1988 Bill and Carol welcomed Melissa followed by Leanne in 1992, Landon in 1996 and their family was complete.

Bill greatly enjoyed eating chocolate, spending time on the golf course, fishing, watching his favourite hockey team lose (Oilers) and trying to keep up with his two grandsons.

Bill will be missed by his wife Carol, daughters Melissa (Kevin Bryars) grandson Hudson, Leanne (Tyler Sutton) grandson Nixon and son Landon. Bill will be sadly missed by many family, relatives and friends.

Bill was predeceased by his mom and dad Gladys and Bob (Robert) Clarke and Aunt Celia Warburton.

Bill wanted to be laid to rest in his hometown of Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan to take place in the Spring of 2019.
