Obituary of Dwayne Fredrick King

September 4, 1973 – December 10, 2018

It is with extreme sadness and heartbreak that we mournfully announce the passing of our loved one, Dwayne King, 45, on December 10, 2018 at The QE ll Hospital in Grande Prairie.   Dwayne passed away peacefully with all his family at his side, after a very short battle with cancer.

Dwayne was a man well loved by many and a protector to all around him.  He loved animals, his pals, hunting, and being out on the water and the land.  His life will be honored forever by his many friends and family.

Dwayne is survived by his mother, Martha Rose Mercredi, father Matthew King, sons Aaron and Dillon King, and daughters Kierra and Alayah King; and his common-law spouse, Lucie Ranger.

He was predeceased by his sisters Shelly Wardell and Janelle Mercredi.

A Celebration of Life for Dwayne was held at Bear Creek Funeral Home/Richmond Reception Center, 11802 99 Avenue, Grande Prairie on Friday, December 14^th from 11am-2pm.
