Obituary of Terrence (Terry) Robert Vigen

March 19, 1958 – December 5, 2018

Terrence Robert Vigen, resident of Grande Prairie, died tragically on Wednesday December 5 ,2018, in the County of Grande Prairie, at the age of 60.

Terry was born on March 19,1958 in Grande Prairie, AB, to Ralph and Dolores Vigen. He was one of 6 siblings and grew up and lived in Grande Prairie most of his life. Terry loved country music, and dancing. He was known for his love of horses and chuckwagon racing. Even though he never stayed in chuckwagon racing, he always stayed close to the sport, with many friends and some family still involved in the sport. He also cared deeply for his children and grandchildren. Terry was also very generous at times, always willing to lend a hand to family, friends, and complete strangers. One of his favorite sayings was, “If you are going to do something, do it right the first time!”.

Terry leaves to mourn his children: Joshua Vigen, Matt Vigen(Andrea), Abbey Gavin(Brad), and six grandchildren; siblings: Douglas Vigen (Carolyn), Brenda Donohue (Glenn), Cheryl Vigen (Dave), Mike Vigen(Karen).

He was predeceased by his father Ralph, mother Dolores, brother Gary, and grandson Ethan Gavin.

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 19,2019 at 3pm Bear Creek Funeral Home/Richmond Reception Centre 11802 99 Avenue, Grande Prairie.
