Obituary of Greta Myrtle Picard

May 23, 1934 - February 5, 2019

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Greta Picard on February 5, 2019 at the age of 84.

Greta was born and raised in Peace River, AB. After graduation she moved to Lamont, AB where she studied nursing. Upon becoming an RN, Greta moved to Calgary where she married Robert in 1957. They moved to New Zealand in 1961 before returning to Canada and settling in Olds, AB. where Greta worked for many years as a nurse at the Olds Hospital and enjoyed retirement as an active library board member, Red Hat Lady and grandmother extraordinaire.

Greta is predeceased by her husband Robert (2014). She is survived by her three sons Richard, David (Cynthia) and Mark (Susan) and five grandchildren Sean, Danielle, Colin, Elena and Sophia.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 2pm at the Bear Creek Funeral Home/Richmond Reception Center, 11802 99 Avenue, Grande Prairie.
