Obituary of Delbert Hugh Pritchett
It is with the saddest of hearts that we mournfully announce the passing of our beloved Delbert Pritchett of Grande Prairie, Alberta at the age of 71 years.
Delbert was born in North Battleford, Saskatchewan on September 2nd, 1947. He worked at Wayerhaeuser (P&G) for many years, he then moved on to continue working at Infinite Forestry. On June 14th, 1969, Delbert married the love of his life Marion, they went on to have 2 daughters; Connie McLeod (Brian) and Ashley Pritchett (Bryce). He came from a family of nine brothers. He loved life, his family, friends, the outdoors, quadding, ski-doing, golf, haying and riding his horse Rusty on many cattle drives.
He was someone you could always count on, would help anyone that needed a hand, a ride or a late phone call, it didn’t matter what time of the day it was. He very much cherished his family, friends and all of his nieces and nephews.
Delbert is survived by his loving wife Marion, daughter Connie (Brian) and their son Cody, daughter Ashley (Bryce), brothers in Saskatchewan; Doug (Dorothy) and family in North Battleford, Darryll “Slim” (Laura) and family in Glaslyn, Edwin (Eva) and family in Glaslyn, Melvin (Vivian) and family in Glaslyn, Mervin (Linda) and family in Glaslyn, Rodney, Greg and all of his cherished nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by his parents Hugh and Mary Pritchett, brothers John Pritchett and Wayne Pritchett.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to friends, family, nurses and health care aides at the hospice that went above and beyond to give a helping hand.
A celebration of Delbert’s life will be held on Friday February 22, 2019 at 2:00pm at Bear Creek Funeral Home (11802 99 Avenue in Grande Prairie, Alberta).
