Seeing the obit in the Inuvik Drum came as a surprise and brought back memories of Helen’s time in Inuvik. We became friends when she was hired as the cook/housekeeper for the Hudson’s Bay Company staff house. Being next door netted us many good meals and treats. Helen was thrilled that we had young children she could cuddle. She truly had a loving giving heart. We did remain in touch when she left the Arctic, her friendship spanned decades. We send Condolences to the family
