I have know Colleen for a number of years but we saw each other seldom. When I heard she went into the RCMP I thought she was so brave cause I new she wasn't young anymore for a demanding job. It sadden me the first time I heard you were fighting the big C. With Clay moving away from us and his sister I didn't hear it raised it ugly head again so I very sadden to hear that our Friend Colleen has gone on to meet our Lord and God before us What a brave women bless the ones to carry on

Coleen was a member of Troop 3(May - November 1997). I remember Colleen as a Lady with great determination while we were in training together. She was an aspiration to many. Being the eldest in our troop, Colleen never let this stand in her way, I actually believe it made her and others stronger. Please accept my heart felt condolences on behalf of Troop 3...Colleen will always Stand on Guard for Thee!

While Colleen a RCMP officer in Fairview we became friends and she will be missed.
Colleen was loved by the youth who frequented the Youth Centre they found her nice and funny. I enjoyed working as volunteers with her on the Boards of the FAWCAA and Restorative Justice. She was very community minded and such a delight. Our deepest condoences to Bruce and family.

When I joined the RCMP in 2001 and was posted to Fairview , Alberta, I was pretty much the opposite of Colleen. I was young, bullish and ready to impose law and order. Needless to say the good folks of Fairview were not quite as enthusiastic about this as I was. I had a lot to learn, and like the good mom she was, Colleen was ready to show me the way, She connected with people in ways that I couldn't. She was firm yet kind, tough but compassionate, fair and flexible. She made me appreciate that there was a better way. Socially, she was the matriarch of the detachment. She made sure all the boys were taking care of themselves and always had a free moment if you needed to chat. Most importantly, she kept Terry on a short leash (which I appreciated!). I miss you Colleen! :)

This is such sad news. Our (Gina and I) deepest condolences are extended to Bruce and all of Colleen’s family. I only had the privilege of working with Colleen for about three years, as I was her immediate supervisor when she came to Fairview Detachment as a “recruit”. Although Colleen always took her duties seriously, she never took life too seriously. Her persistent positive attitude and ability to lighten situations with her amazing smile was always welcomed and appreciated. I appreciated the privilege of having known and worked with this amazing person. My heart aches for all of you during this sad time.

Our deepest sympathies go out to Bruce and all the Watchorn family as well as the Webber family. Colleen was such a great lady and brought a wonderful positive presence with her. Dar and I will really miss her great hugs, and all the very meaningful discussions we had with her. Always a great listener, and contributor to any conversation. Her great smile and personality was infectious. Family gatherings will not be the same without you Colleen. We will miss you very much. Hugs to all family and friends.
