As we were neighbours and attended the same school in Sexsmith with Aimee and Adley's children we spent many a bus trip enjoying each other's company. Lois was nearest to my age and I remember our friendship fondly. May memories of your kind and gracious Mother and Grandmother give all of you comfort at this time. There may be other women like Aimee but I never met them. She was an anchor of sorts for many of us in our younger days .....teaching us how to engage the world with love, kindess and concern..... but still get the job done. She had a way of projecting her expectations by example and those qualities were the foundations of many of my successes in this life. One mannerism I particularly remember was her 1/2 smile right before she laughed. When you get older, each year is a little tougher and the fact that she made it to 93 tells you how tough she was. Besides that she put up with the Catholics for a long time. I regret missing this memorial because it would have given me a chance to thank her yet again. Irreplaceable lady.One of the nicest people I have ever know. I am pleased to hear she will be buried by Adley in that little cemetary on the Emerson. She woudl have driven by it many, many, many times over the years. And it is a wonderful thought the her and Adley will be together once again out there in that country where they made a life that enriched so many of us....................bruce

Lois, Mike and all family members. Words are too few to express the thoughts and memories of your mom. Joe and I will never forget all the memories we have had together from weddings in Grande Prairie to Curling Briers, to trips to Palm Desert. Along with many great laughs in Yuma and Mesa AZ. We will treasure these memories forever. Aimee was definitely my second mom. She always had words of encouragement for me. Take care all of you and we will be thinking of you November 2 and always. Our thoughts are with all of Aimee’s family. What a life well lived. We will remember Aimee as kind and generous, a fun-loving neighbour and close friend, ready to help whenever needed and a strong community member. Adley and Aimee’s longtime friendships with both sets of our parents was a special one filled with lots of fun and adventure and much respect for each other. Aimee’s concern, care and added attention to Joan was freely given from the day Joan was born. Lance and I remember her many trips to the Brier along with Shirley. Our Mom’s, Joan and I loved the annual ladies Christmas party hosted by Aimee. Sympathies to each one of you as you reflect on and appreciate what a great Mom and Grandma you were blessed to have. My deepest sympathy to your family. I had the privilege of knowing Aimee for over thirty years. She was a very special lady. She was always interested in putting her best foot forward. Never had an unkind word to say about anyone. Always took impeccable care of herself. Her hair was always done, and I had the privilege of keeping her nails done to her liking. She wasn’t just a customer, she was a friend. I will miss her.
