Obituary of George Michael Hembrow
July 29, 1974 – October 29, 2019
We mournfully announce the passing of George Hembrow in Calmar, Alberta on October 29. 2019 at 45 years of age.
George was born to Sheila and Lindon in South Wales, U.K. The family immigrated to Canada in 1980 when George was six years old. He grew up in Edson, Alberta where he met Stephanie. They married in Grande Prairie and soon after welcomed their baby boy, Dylan. George pursued a career as a machinist and worked in Grande Prairie and Edmonton. He was an avid artist and mechanic and enjoyed working with his hands as well as his mind. He enjoyed motor sports and loved his dogs, Milo and Maddie. He loved his nieces and nephews and enjoyed teaching them about art and mechanical things. He will be sadly missed and forever loved.
George is survived by his father, Lindon Hembrow, son Dylan Hembrow, Dylan’s Mom Stephanie, brother Nick Hembrow (Joanne) Jordan, Jocelyn and Nicole, sister Anita Hembrow (Brad), Stephanie (Jake), Brittany (James) and Makayla (Calvin), sister Victoria Parliament (Jamie) Sheldon, Liam and Rowan and great nephews Kobie and Andre.
He was predeceased by his mother, Sheila Hembrow.
A Memorial Service for George will be held on Thursday, November 7th at 1pm at Bear Creek Funeral Home, 11802 99 Avenue, Grande Prairie.
