Deepest sympathies to the family. I met George at the very start of my career with Amoco. Back then, Amoco wanted young engineers like me to get good field experience. George taught me a lot in those early days at Ante Creek and Big Stone. We crossed paths again briefly when he was at Renaissance. A very good man.

I was thinking back to when George was 9 and I was 11. My parents were out somewhere and my grandparents arrived at the door unexpected. George ushered my grandparents in. saying,"Come on in. Marg get grandma and grandpa something to eat. They've travelled alot of miles, they're probably hungary. Make them some soup and toast. My grandparents looked at each other and smiled, Grandpa tried not to laugh but he did. They found it comical that little George was taking charge of the house and taking care of them. George was always one to take care of family.
I will always remember George for his loyalty, his big heart, his sense of humour, his courage and his determination. He was dearly loved and no words can express how much he will be missed.

We rode the school bus together, he was the only person talented enough to walk the school hallways on his hands. Many fond memories of this very special guy, thoughts are with your family George, I truly hope your at peace, our elementary school memories will last forever.

When I think of George, it makes me smile, as I’m reminded of the fun he created in our Sunset House classroom. My favourite memory of him is of him walking on his hands, between the rows of desks, behind the teachers back.
Sincere sympathy to Val and his family.

My favourite memory of George shows the fun prankster side of him. It was Halloween and the kids were quite small. George had a mold of his teeth from the dentist that he somehow snuck into one of my kids bag. When we got home we had the kids empty their bags so we could make sure the candy was safe. When I found the mold I was very confused. I called around to my friends to see if they had anything strange in their kids bags. Nope no one. So a few days later after George and Val couldn’t stop laughing I found out where the teeth came from....We all had many laughs about that for a long time. Thank you George
