Janice was so ill for such a long time, so although we will all feel very sad at her passing, we must be happy for her – no more pain and suffering. My daughter, Sharon, visited her as much as she could during Janice’s illness, and always reported how she never lost her pride and dignity. As I remember Janice, she walked tall with her head held high. She was a beautiful skater and we were as proud of her as for our own children. And of course there was always that smile. So, Janice, from this old friend comes a very loving “goodbye”, with fond memories of you. God has blessed you in many ways. He knows you well. Regards, Janet Ophus.
