My condolences to everyone on the passing of Ray. I was a little younger than Ray, I also went to Notre Dame
School and church and knew his family. Years later I worked with Ray on the micro wave line and spent the summer of 1960 I think, at Fireside and lower liard area at mile 496 of the Alaska Highway. That winter we went back up the highway and built bridges at Toad River and later at Rancheria at mile 710. Most days were around -60 below F, I recall that quite vividly, sure wish we had Helly Hanson or North Peak winter wear in those days...it was hard work and harsh conditions but we had a good crew and knew pretty much everyone from Dawson...I used to see Ray once in awhile but lost track over the years. I was happy to hear, through the obituary that Ray led a full, busy and good life and blessed with his own family.
I used to run into his brother Bill on occasion and was very surprised at his passing so close to Ray.
Once again my sincerest.
