Marjorie McAusland August 20, 1951 – January 8, 2017 Marjorie Laura (Wiegel) McAusland, age 65 passed away January 8th, 2017. Marjorie was born in Spirit River, AB on August 20, 1951. Marjorie was predeceased by her father Victor Wiegel, mother Blanche (Hugh) Morrow, stepmother Melvina Wiegel, father in law Bill McAusland, niece Carolyn (Wiegel) Davis, brother Barry Wiegel, and nephew Leighton Wiegel. Marjorie is survived by her loving husband of 45 years Darrel McAusland, sons Darren (Betsy) McAusland of Tuscaloosa, Alabama and Rocky (Jenny) McAusland of Grovedale, AB, and grandchildren Cole McAusland, Caleb McAusland, Liam McAusland, and Kamryn McAusland, mother in law Edna McAusland, and many brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, brother and sister in laws and their families. Marjorie was raised in the Wanham and Grande Prairie areas before moving to Grovedale in 1971 with husband Darrel. She was involved in the Grovedale Community Club, Grovedale Fire Department, minor hockey, minor baseball, her and husband Darrel took care of the Grovedale Arena for 22 years, and she drove school bus for Grovedale School District and Peace Wapiti for 35 years. Marjorie had a passion for kids and youth sports. She was a major supporter of women’s hockey. She loved working in the yard, camping, fishing, mentoring youth, and spending time with her family. She was especially proud of her grandkids. Her kind heart and positive outlook on life were a special gift. She will be missed by all who knew her. A viewing for family and close friends will be held at 7pm on Thursday January 12, 2017 at Christian Fellowship Assembly 11449 92 St, Grande Prairie. A celebration of Life will be held at 11am Friday, January 13, 2017 at the Entrec Center Evergreen Park.
